Meena's grandfather is an elephant who is gray in color. He wears a green suit covering a white shirt and a red necktie. He wears glasses and uses a walking cane to move around.
Meena's grandfather is pushy, tough, and wants for his granddaughter to come out of her shell and shine. He loves listening to her sing but wishes she would overcome her stage fright and join a choir or band.
When he and his daughter (Meena's mother) show her a flyer for Buster Moon's singing contest he hopes this will help Meena but is cross when she comes home after bombing her audition.
He finally puts his foot down and cracks down on Meena, telling his granddaughter to go back and demand a second chance. When Meena returns to find her family and neighbors hopeful she vaguely confirms she's in the show (without telling them she only got in as a stagehand, until later she got a spot in the show).
After the theater is destroyed, Meena's mother and grandparents console her while watching the news coverage.
But shortly later they learn Meena, Buster, and all the other singers are throwing together an open air theater to perform anyway. After watching the other singers perform, Meena's grandfather, grandmother, and mom proudly watch her perform and sing "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing".
Despite his tough and pushy attitude, Meena's grandfather only wants for her to shine and be happy doing what she loves, singing.
